Great traditional village pub. Dog friendly and a nice walk there on the trans pennine trail. Popular with functions, birthday parties etc. Enormous garden, great kid's play area and large covered area. Not much food offering but you can get a burger. The only pub in the village that has a great selection of ever changing guest ales.

Had a lovely Sunday afternoon stroll and found this pub, just had the one drink but the bar staff was very friendly, they also served up a lovely bowl of water for our thirsty dog, sat back and enjoyed the beer garden whilst or children played.
